I've been using VE paddles for around 3 years now and other competitors such as Werner, Select, Lettmann or AT seem inferior. I think VE have nailed the weight to surface area of the blades which allow you to transfer so much power into each stroke, making these paddles perfect for all disciplines of whitewater kayaking. I've never had any issues with durability either and would easily trust VE in any grade of whitewater. One of my favourite things about VE paddles is the fact that they are custom built to any feather, length or hand you could wish for(there's even a chart to tell you which size would be best for you depending on your height and discipline of paddling!) Also, there is an option to convert the paddles into either 2 or 4 way splits if need be. This is great if you're trying to space save for trips abroad or just as an emergency pair! Combinations of Carbon blades/shaft or Glass blades/shaft are available if you don't want to splash out on full carbon blades or want something a bit more durable.
I've used Wilson racquets my entire life, but made the switch to Babolat about a year ago now. I haven't looked back. The power, combined with control and spin I get doesn't compare to any of the racquets I've used before. The action you see on forehands and kick serves is phenomenal. The 'Plus' model is slightly longer than the regular size, so I personally enjoy the extra reach it gives me on wide balls. A great high performance racquet for anyone looking to take their game to the next level.
These goggles offer a great field of view together with comfort and great anti fog features. I've had them for several years now and they hold up well. You can get a variety of lenses to suit different lighting conditions.
Upgraded to the burton custom flying v this year, this was my 3rd snow holiday, 1 week each time. Great all round board.. I'm not a racer, but can usually keep up to the cat 3-4's pretty easily. This bike has been outstanding. Its responsive and super light. It has dura-ace throughout and I have done very few upgrades beside the wheelset.
Although hard to see what i'm wearing at all in this pic, what you can see is that it really F***** deep. These pants have been a great investment. They are Gore-Tex throughout and they keep me super dry all day long. The full length zips are critical when touring as I get super hot when going up. They have clip on suspenders, however I have never used it. I'm tall and lanky (6'4"), so getting the perfect fit is always a challenge. I got the L for length, but I need a belt to keep them up.
If you have terrible circulation, like me, finding a suit that keeps you toasty is critical for the frigid west coast waters. I have had this suit for about 5 years now and its as warm as the first day I bought it.
