I've been using VE paddles for around 3 years now and other competitors such as Werner, Select, Lettmann or AT seem inferior. I think VE have nailed the weight to surface area of the blades which allow you to transfer so much power into each stroke, making these paddles perfect for all disciplines of whitewater kayaking. I've never had any issues with durability either and would easily trust VE in any grade of whitewater. One of my favourite things about VE paddles is the fact that they are custom built to any feather, length or hand you could wish for(there's even a chart to tell you which size would be best for you depending on your height and discipline of paddling!) Also, there is an option to convert the paddles into either 2 or 4 way splits if need be. This is great if you're trying to space save for trips abroad or just as an emergency pair! Combinations of Carbon blades/shaft or Glass blades/shaft are available if you don't want to splash out on full carbon blades or want something a bit more durable.
Wow! What a great peace of kit. This is by far one of the comfortable prices of paddling gear I have ever worn and it just looks fantastic. The fabric on the outside is Polyester which is hydrophobic (resisting water) what more do you need. It's also shaped in a way that when you paddling down the river it never feels awkward or stretching across your back, it just fits like a well tailored suit. It comes in either a very bright blue (that's what I have) or light bright green. Both look great and it you do take a swim you will be easily spotted by your buddy's.
These suits are also tough. I'm not great at looking after stuff and this drusuit is holding up really well. *THIS DOESN'T MEAN TRY AND RUIN IT. PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS LOOK AFTER YOUR GEAR AS BEST AS YOU CAN* Haha.
The only thing I would say bad about it is that it isn't that 'breathable' so you can feel like it's starting to get abit hot. But seriously... I would rather it be almost completely waterproof and keep me dry, then be abit more 'breathable' and start leaking.
Completely waterproof, completely windproof, completely resistant to everything you can imagine !! It's the kind of product you need to think about before bying it because of the price... But you'll never regret !! I hightly recommend this product.
The IR Royale randed skirt has become my automatic go-to for creeking. It's both the dryest skirt I've ever used and the easiest randed skirt to get on the cockpit I've used. Immersion Research's pro deals for ACA instructors make this an obvious choice for pro paddlers.
My scott genius 710 has a carbon front triangle and 150mm travel front and rear. The 700 series is the 650b or 27.5 wheel size depending on your name preference.
It comes with XT gears and anchors. It has the 3 stage lockout switch so it climbs like an xc bike as well as being uber plush on the way down.
When the race season is over this is the only bike I use. It gets my having fun on burlier trails and long adventure rides. You can get the lighter tuned model that weighs in at 24lbs for a med with 150mm as well but I think the 710 bike is great value for the spec and its capability.
Having spent Many Many hours of my life doing water sports i have always found it uncomfortable when you get water trapped in your shoes not with these bad boys. they are low profile, grippy and the water just flows out once you step out the water. great shoes and they don't look half bad either.
